Wilderness First Aid w/ CPR (20 hrs)

First Aid is one of the most important skills in the backcountry, next to survival skills.  This course is for all - enthusiasts, hunters, fishers, or even tourists.  What do you do when you are more than 15 minutes away from the care of qualified Emergency Medical Support?  What would happen if you were in a power-out and you had up to 24 hours before you could get to a hospital?

This course covers the Basic level of Wilderness & Remote First Aid, including material in Standard First Aid & CPR, plus special material on techniques for wilderness and remote areas. The course also offers strategies for providing extended care for up to 24 hours. Part of the course is taught in an outdoor setting and requires greater physical activity and endurance than typical first aid training. It is suitable for those who work or live in remote locations or who are outdoor recreation enthusiasts, but anyone can take and benefit from taking the course.
