3 (Moderate)Distance: 7 km return450 metresYamnuska is one of the most recognized peaks in the Bow valley, easily recognizable from the highway. While climbers prefer the vertical faces that can be seen from the highway, our route takes us up the east side of Yamnuska, through stands of Lodgepole Pine and Subalpine Fir and onto a beautiful scenic ridge that will amaze even the most doubtful hiker.

Alternate hike: Barrier Mountain
In order to reach the parking lot, from Calgary take the Trans-Canada Highway. Take the Seebe exit and head west on 1X until you meet 1A.  Turn right, then after about 1.5 km take a dirt road on your left. The trailhead for this hike is the parking lot.
